Top U.S. School District Technology Leaders Demand Better ‘Focus’ with EdTech Companies

EdTech Digest launches ‘Future Focus Forums’ in conjunction with FETC.

ORLANDO, FL — By popular demand, EdTech Digest announces the launch of ‘Future
Focus Forums
’ in conjunction with The National Future of Education Technology®
Conference (FETC®)
, the nation’s largest independent K-12 edtech event transforming the
future of learning.

“A group of the nation’s top school district technology leaders approached me to re-boot a past successful service for edtech companies. In essence, it was a long-form product-and-marketing-focused private panel with a structured agenda moderated by seasoned pros, delivering golden-nugget advice,” said Victor Rivero, Editor-in-Chief of EdTech Digest and Executive Producer of the forums. “These uniquely structured panels are a once-in-a-generation opportunity for edtech founders/CEOs, product leads, and marketing leads,” said Rivero.

“Whether you’re an edtech startup or an established company with a new or existing product—you need to be in front of these people,” said Dr. Sheryl Abshire, F3 Program Coordinator and former CTO, Calcasieu Parish Public Schools.

“The focus and structure of these meetings were a key reason for the success, growth, and continued expansion for some of the leading products in edtech,” said Michael Flood, F3 Corporate Advisor, former member of CoSN’s Board of Directors, and former GM and SVP at Kajeet, where he led growth from startup mode to $100M+ in revenue serving thousands of school districts, libraries, colleges, universities, and public sector agencies across the US and Canada.

The service sits edtech companies across the table from veteran and working CTOs, CIOs,
Directors of Technology, and instruction heads who address product functionality, funding, marketing approaches, current issues and challenges, and other questions at length and in-depth; a customized agenda is established prior to the 2 1/2 hour private panel. Networking lunches and dinner activities are also included. Companies take away a transcript and summarized report on key findings of the panel, and a follow-up meeting provides recommendations moving forward.

“FETC is thrilled to partner with EdTech Digest’s Future Focus Forums bringing together the nation’s most respected school district leaders with leading edge edtech companies as part of our pre-conference activities,” said Jennifer Womble, Conference Chair, FETC. “Founders/CEOs, and Product and Marketing leads need direct and candid discussions to sift through the most pressing issues and challenges relating to increasing the quality of their solutions for administrators, teachers and students; these unique forums are absolutely vital.”

Future Focus Forums, or F3 events, will be held immediately preceding FETC 2024 in Orlando. Limited availability; by special invitation only. Learn more.
