New Tracks. New Workshops. New Ways to Learn.

Counting down to a new calendar year, you can feel the anticipation that’s starting to build. And while life rarely revolves around the calendar year, especially for educators, there’s something promising about making a new start in January. And educators and school administrators attending the

National Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC) in 2017 will have tons of new opportunities awaiting their arrival.

New Tracks

Brand new for 2017 is the introduction of five distinct tracks, designed to meet the needs of today’s educators, administrators and IT leaders working in PreK-12 education. Each track will feature dynamic sessions to help attendees learn about the latest technologies and creative implementation strategies. The tracks include: Future of Ed Tech Administrator, Future of Ed Tech Educator, Future of Information Technology, Future of Ed Tech Special Education and Future of Ed Tech Early Learning. Through these, FETC 2017 will feature more than 400 sessions led by experts and leaders in education technology.

New Workshops

Also aligned with these five tracks are more than 150 professional development workshops on the agenda for 2017. Each 2.5 hour workshop will offer attendees hands-on training exploring useful skills and strategies plus digging deep. Sample workshops include Leveraging a Digital Ecosystem to Transform Teaching and Learning; Building a Culture of YES: Balancing Student Data Privacy and Innovation; and Integrating Technology in the K-2 Classroom. Workshops have limited seating and require a Basic Plus or Premium registration.

New Ways to Learn

FETC 2017 encourages attendees to select a format that suits their learning preferences. This means focusing on a specific track, deciding between 40-minute and one-hour sessions, participating in workshops and the choice to bring their own device or use those provided. In addition to 550+ sessions and workshops, attendees have access to the latest edtech solutions on the expo floor, keynote presentations with high-profile speakers, 20-minute skill building demonstrations and one-to-one conversations with education and tech innovators about integration projects and best practices.

FETC 2017 is set to be the most exciting one yet, and registered attendees can look forward to getting the full scoop during the New @ FETC session on Wednesday, January 25 at 11:30 a.m. EST. This session will cover the session tracks, new workshop topics, keynote sessions and special events. You can also get ready for the conference by visiting the interactive conference agenda, which enables you to search date, time, track and topic. Not a bad way to kick off 2017!
