LRP Conferences, FETC, Acquires District Administration Magazine and K12 Leadership Events

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. APRIL 30, 2018 – LRP Conferences, LLC organizer of the Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC), the nation’s largest, independent ed tech event, today announced the acquisition of District Administration magazine, District Administration Leadership Institute® events, plus other widely respected print, digital and video content from Professional Media Group, LLC. Building on FETC’s 40 years of commitment to deliver unparalleled education conferences, resources and tools, the complementary offerings of each company will enhance FETC’s high-quality content for K12 leaders, build additional networking opportunities for school administrators around the country, plus deliver compelling leadership experiences to educators in a variety of new ways.

“The acquisition of this stellar collection of businesses will not only expand our portfolio of education publications, events and branded content but it reflects the actions we’re taking to meet high-level K12 decision-makers need for a rich assortment of compelling, accessible and personalized premier events and resources,” said Kenneth Kahn, President and Chief Executive Officer, LRP. “We’re not only pleased to incorporate these products into increasing FETC’s targeted leadership sessions and workshops in various areas including the Future of Ed Tech Administrative track, but also look forward to growing District Administration magazine and District Administration Leadership Institute® to continuously meet the increasing needs of our attendees and customers.”

In addition to increasing the company’s offerings, the purchase will position FETC and LRP to better fulfill the essential needs of the education community by substantially expanding its accessibility and reach. “District Administration has always been about one thing: school district leadership. I look forward to bringing our superb content and offerings to LRP and FETC to unlock even more value for customers as they continue to set the pace in an expanding and dynamic industry,” said Dan Kinnaman, President, Professional Media Group, LLC.

LRP will keep the staff of Professional Media Group, LLC.

“When considering this strategic acquisition, it was important to retain the Professional Media Group team because of the proven leadership required to successfully complete and integrate such a massive, undertaking,” said Robert Avossa, Senior Vice President and Publisher of Education Products, LRP Publications and LRP Conferences, LLC. “We believe that retaining the staff is in the best interests of our customers and will be critical to our ability to effectively drive long-term value from this acquisition.”
