Future of Education Technology Conference Announces Dynamic Keynote Presentations for the Reimagined Virtual Event

Keynote presentations featuring Dr. Peter Gorman, Brianna Hodges, Thomas Murray, Lenny Schad and Dr. Jill Siler revealed for the virtual event taking place in January 2021.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – November 17, 2020 – The Future of Education Technology Conference® (FETC®), a gathering of the most dynamic and creative education professionals from around the world for an intensive, highly collaborative exploration of new technologies, best practices and pressing issues, announced today several keynote speakers who will present during the reimagined event. Moving to a no-cost, virtual model, the conference, taking place January 26 – 29, 2021, will feature a new online format which will include two or more keynote presentations each day spotlighting the industry’s most compelling experts and thought leaders while covering a diverse range of topics. Dr. Peter Gorman, Brianna Hodges, Thomas Murray, Lenny Schad and Dr. Jill Siler have just been announced.

Dr. Siler, Superintendent of Gunter Independent School District, will present her keynote session “Thrive Through the Five: Transforming Leadership Challenges Into Positive Opportunities” on Thursday, January 28 at 11 a.m. ET. She will share her own honest experiences and expertise to provide practical strategies and relevant insights into how all school leaders can thrive in difficult times.

Also on Thursday, January 28 at 4:45 p.m. ET, Hodges, National Advisor and Spokesperson for Future Ready Instructional Leaders and Murray, Director of Innovation for Future Ready Schools and  best-selling author, will present “4 Keys to Effective Leading and Coaching in Any Environment”. They will highlight four foundational keys leaders and coaches need, right now, to unlock success today, tomorrow, and moving forward. Additionally, Hodges and Murray will discuss leading through adversity and how educators can surpass the survival stage and thrive, to design resilient and transformative learning no matter what happens in the future.

Schad, Chief Information and Innovation Officer for District Administration®, will discuss how district leaders can establish a shared understanding and ownership of cybersecurity in his keynote presentation “What is YOUR District’s Cybersecurity Story?” on Friday, January 29 at 11 a.m. ET. He will review why, given today’s new education environment, cybersecurity needs to have shared ownership between the school board, superintendent, and IT department.

The Friday afternoon keynote, “An Aligned System to Increase Student Achievement at Scale”, will be presented by Dr. Gorman, Superintendent in Residence for District Administration Leadership Institute®. He will share the processes and structures to increase student achievement by learning about high performing school districts’ strategies.
